Coole Park and W.B.Yeats
Coole Park is the former home of Augusta Lady Gregory and a one-time centre of the Irish Literary Revival. It was a favourite haunt for the Irish poet W.B.Yeats. The house was demolished but an autograph tree inscribed with the initials of George Bernard Shaw, Yeats and many others still remains in the park, which is now a natural reserve with forest walks and lakes.
Yeats himselfed lived at the Castle of Thoor in Ballylee, about 6kms from Coole Park. This castle has been restored and contains a museum.
Laurels B&B is located in the heritage town of Gort, Co.Galway and ideal for touring the west coast of Ireland and it's many tourist attractions! The town offers a variety of restaurants, cafés and shops, and is a 5 mins. drive from Laurels B&B.

is Kilmacduagh Monastery beautifully situated against the backdrop of Burren National Park. The collection of church ruins is considered to be one the finest in Ireland and originates from a monastery founded by St.Colman in the 6th century. The round tower is one of the largest and best preserved in the country, with a height of
34 mtrs.
Mullaghmore mountain - the sublimely beautiful heart of the Burren - is rich in heritage and natural beauty and famous for its flora and wildlife. Geological evolution over millions of years has arranged this landscape in such a way that today it is recognized as one of the most distinctive landscapes in Europe.
The green roads in the Burren region are the perfect way to explore the area and its hidden secrets on foot!
You'll find Laurels B&B in Ballybaun on the L1106 Tubber road, about 1km from the GAA field in Gort and about 5 mins. from the Gort exit of the new M18 motorway (to be opened in May 2010) between Ennis/Limerick and Galway.
